Are past mistakes haunting you ?
Are you scared of past mistakes ?
We all do, in some aspects of life. But the question is why do we get scared? Is it because of the past which already happened, or the future which, we are not sure occurs as we assume it to be, or the present. If it's a present, Is there any need to be scared,?
I mean it going to happen if it is meant to be, we can't change.Easier said than done but let be a little practical,If we can't change something let's face it, I mean we don't have any other options, either face it or cry over it and crying over the things that you can't control doesn't sound that good. I know it's easier said than done,
But making fools of ourselves while crying over the same thing again and again, is it okay?
You know, when it comes to our near and dear ones, all of a sudden we all become
philosophers, we start doing what we can do to help them, giving them the best advice saying all things like it's going to be alright it's just a phase, it's okay if you can't change the present don't worry you have your future, and you can make it as you want.
Again, the question is "When you know all these things then why don't you apply them to you".
Why are you being so hard on yourself?
Why we fear our past mistakes ?
Let's look into this one by one -
π«Guilt Or regret - it's a guilt that burden us ,that we could have done better .
π«fear of judgement -what others will say , ig they get to know what I did .
Just remember the fact : " mistakes are the proof that we tried"
Don't take yourself for granted, Ask yourself, are you okay? understand yourself, and if needed scold yourself for not following the advice, for blaming yourself. Don't put that much pressure on yourself.
it's okay even if you messed up something, try to resolve it if it is possible. But don't be mean to yourself.
It's okay to make mistakes, mistakes are part of our journey, and it has nothing to do with your age. It's okay , here is the link that helps you with the fact it's okay ,if things doesn't happen as planned it's okay to not know everything
How to overcome the fear of past mistakes?
π« Acceptance and learning : It happens it's not something you are intentionally doing, learn from it, and yeah when you learn from your mistakes, you remember the lesson for a lifetime. It's a first step towards healing.
Instead of focus on why it happens to me focus on what I learnt from it ?
Don't be hard on yourself : learn from the mistakes repeating the mistakes again and again it's not cool, we get one life, so why waste it doing the same thing again and again, Try something new !
New= growth (growing as a person )
Growth = Learning ( growth requires learning. )
Learning = mistakes ( mistakes happen while learning )
Mistakes = lesson learnt ( And we always learn from our mistakes)
Hence proved π
Here are some Tips to move forward :
π«Acknowledge & accept – Admit what happened without judging yourself. Acceptance is the first step to healing.
π«Learn the lesson – Identify what the experience taught you, rather than dwelling on regret.
π«Forgive yourself – Be gentle; everyone makes mistakes. Self-forgiveness frees your mind and heart.
π«Focus on the present – Shift your energy to what you can do today, rather than what you can’t change.
π«Set new goals – Replace old regrets with fresh intentions and actionable steps forward.
π«Release grudges – Let go of anger or resentment toward others; it only weighs you down.
π«Practice mindfulness – Meditation, journaling, or deep breathing helps you stay centered and grounded.
π«Celebrate progress – Every small step you take forward is a victory; acknowledge it.
Remeber,
Mistakes don’t define who you are; they teach you, refine you, and prepare you for what’s next.
